Terms and Conditions of Sale

Welcome to Krafted. By browsing our website or purchasing our furniture, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Nature of the Goods

 

We specialize in modern industrial metal furniture.

  • Handcrafted Variation: Because our items are [hand-welded/hand-finished], slight variations in texture, color, and finish are part of the industrial aesthetic and are not considered defects.

  • Product Images: We strive for accuracy, but colors may vary depending on your screen settings.

2. Orders and Payment

​

  • Agreement of Sale: A contract is only formed once we have received your payment and sent a "Processing" email.

  • Payment Methods: We accept [EFT, Yoco]. For EFTs, production begins only once funds clear in our account.

  • Pricing: All prices are in ZAR. We reserve the right to change prices without notice, but once an order is paid, the price is locked.

3. Production and Lead Times

​

  • Made-to-Order: Many of our pieces are manufactured specifically for you.

  • Estimates: Lead times provided (e.g., 4 weeks) are estimates. While we aim for punctuality, we are not liable for reasonable delays caused by supply chain issues or loadshedding.

4. Delivery and Ownership

​

  • Risk: Risk passes to you once the item is delivered to your specified address.

  • Access: It is your responsibility to ensure the furniture fits through your doors, lifts, or stairways. If a delivery fails because the item cannot fit, the customer is liable for return shipping and restocking fees.

  • Inspection: You must inspect the goods upon delivery. Any visible damage must be noted on the waybill and reported to us within 24 hours.

5. Returns and Refunds (CPA Compliance)

  • Change of Mind: Under the ECT Act, you have a 7-day "cooling-off" period for standard items, provided they are unused and in original packaging. You are responsible for return shipping costs.

  • Custom Orders: Note: Items custom-made to your specific dimensions or colors are non-refundable unless they are defective.

  • Defects: If an item is structurally defective, we will repair, replace, or refund it in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.

6. Intellectual Property

 

All designs, photographs, and branding on this website are the intellectual property of Krafted. You may not reproduce our designs or use our imagery for commercial purposes without written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

 

To the extent permitted by South African law, Krafted shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our products or website. Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods.

8. Governing Law

 

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in South Africa.
